life has been crazyyy busy...school started,so basically my life ended...just kidding. summer was amazing tho and i am so thankful for it, i took more than 2000 pictures and i'm leaving you with one...that is blurry and not good at all, but it cracks me up. the week before school started our family went to a beach house for a week, it was so funn, but the water was freezinggg! this old man was at least in his 60's and he went out here and did this everyday...yes, crazy. i know.

the past couple of weeks have been crazyy...so i havent been able to blog or post any pictures lately...but i want something new...i hate looking at that flower. haha. i know i say that like every time i blog lately, but we are going to a beach house next week, and when i get back from that, i'll post a big summer post! i cant believe its almost over...:(

i sat here for a couple minutes trying to decide what to write, but im not even gonna try. basically this summer has been crazy busy, but so much fun. i know there is no significance in posting a random picture of a flower but its been like 3 weeks...and i'm getting tired of the last post, and i'm sure you are too. happy summer to you all :)

Cowboy Festival

ok, so a couple weeks ago, maybe more like 2 months, maybe 8 years for all i know, I went to the cowboy festival with Kenzie. we just walked around, had frozen lemonade, and made fun of all the weirdly dressed people...as you will see below. the cowboy festival is where they open up melody ranch for a weekend...melody ranch is a studio where they have filmed a bunch of movies, Holes, Bedtime Stories, Little House on the Prairie, etc, that happens to be in the canyon. since we are residents we get in for free. all the people that go dress up like there is no tomorrow...literally...like they dont care what they look like or anything.

Alright, so this guy has guts. how would you like to stand on top of a horse named booger (no joke) and lasso yourself?? i really wanted him to fall off, just so i could laugh in his face and prove that horse riding is one of the most dangerous things ever.
this is when i walked away, and realized that he had to stand in order for people to wanna watch him. how boring...

one of those that believed there was no tomorrow...Here we have daniel boone...and some 8 foot tall man...he tried to lasso me...i fell over.Um, a unhealthy squanto...or an indian nacho libre with long hair. not quite sure. we called him squancho...later on, we saw him again, and this time we were both like, "he has a wife now!!....or...another brother...that works too..."this guy reminded us of the mean guy in Dennis the Menace. i was sincerely scared of him. if only i got a shot of his face.i ran a vintage action on this pic...think it kinda fits with the subject and stuff. these cars were used in a famous movie, i just cant remember which one...hahai love this picture. i don't know why...i dont even know who this little girl is. i just love it.i like this one too...alright. thats all....happy day!

another weird one...

so last night I had this dream that my ear was really infected cause i had been swimming to much. my left one to be exact. i remember in my dream going to the mirror by my bed and taking my left earring out cause it hurt really bad....
this morning I woke up and didn't remember any of it until i realized my left earring was gone. I thought I must have lost it in my sleep or something so i looked everywhere around my bed...then i went over to my mirror and my earring was sitting right where i had taken it out in my dream. i was like...how weird...cause i didn't know why it would be over there...
and then as i started putting it back in looking in my mirror it was like crazy deja vu and i remembered it all. ahaha...anyways, if you actually knew what my room looked like it would probably make a lot more sense, but basically i must have gotten up in my sleep and took my earring out cause i thought it was infected.

oh, and the night before that my dream was just insane. arnold schwarzenegger was my boss...and we were ninjas trying to kill bad transformers in some jungle. and people tell me my dreams associate to my life?? believe me, i do not think about becoming a ninja under arnold schwarzenegger.

how would you like to have this only a 5 minute walk away from your house? well i did for a couple days. my aunt and uncle do alll year longg. i was tired of clicking on the link to my blog and seeing that pic of me and my dad and ivan. so im blogging about new zealand...again, with a prettier view.

daryl island

its funny to think that New Zealand was almost a year ago, but I still go through the pics and have fun editing them. anyways...this picture, is just funny.

so after the conference that my dad taught at we went and stayed with jani and peter for a couple days, my dad's cousin and her husband, and then their son ivan, the giant standing next to me.
they decided to kinda give us a tour of keri keri (where they lived) i guess you could say. anyways, ivan mentioned going on the exciter. so we drive over to this place like an hour away...called daryl harbor. it was beautiful there, i dont know if you can find a place in new zealand thats not...but anyways, my aunt buys these tickets for this boat ride. we go around to the back of this building and this lady says, "go in there and you'll get your suit!"
suit?? yeah...we had to wear full on life saver suits. i wasnt quite sure why at this point, but i did it anyways. then they show us this video about what we would see and where it would go. and gave us little water proof protectors for cameras, cell phones, etc.
we walk outside and this man starts telling everyone why we were wearing these suits, i'm not sure whether he was just trying to be nice and warn us, or scare us half to death. he starts telling us about how scary it is and how fast it goes and that people have passed out and someone almost fell off and how the boat could possibly tip over, you could die... all this stuff. then i realize my aunt isn't wearing a suit, so i asked her why she didnt have one on and she goes, "are you kidding me??? i am NOT going on that!" so, as you can imagine, i was freaked out. this pic was taken by my aunt while this guy was preparing us for death.

my dad apparently thought maybe it was some sort of joke, but wasn't sure.
my cousin looks ready for war or something.
and i was just scared to death...i didn't go to new zealand to die.
BUT, it was abosultely worth every second.

dreams.

so lately I have been having some incredibly weird dreams. and if I tell people they are like, "Oh wow, so it that must be on your mind a lot" or "i feel so bad for you is that really an issue??"....but really, they are so random and not what i think about at all, and i wake up laughing.

well, this one was just one of those weird ones...right before I went to bed on thursday, I was talking to two good friends of mine online. well, i went to sleep that night, and my dream started off really weird, i wanted a piece of gum so bad and if i didnt get one i was going to die...literally.

so yeah thats a whole other story but anyways, when i got home from trying to get some gum,(in my dream) i got on facebook to talk to some friends. well in my dream, the same two people i had been talking to in real life before i went to bed starting talking to me, about the same things. it was basically a repeat of our conversations but in my dream and not real life. but a third person (my friend claudia) that i hadnt talked to in real life popped up and asked me if i wanted to come over to her house for breakfast at 7:30 in the morning...to which i was like, ummm okay? sureeee.

soooo back to real life. I woke up at 8 the next morning. and I freaked out. I was supposed to be at claudias house for breakfast a half an hour ago!...and then it was like, "thats weird...i know i'm supposed to go to her house for breakfast but, when in the world did she ask me?? oh yeah, last night when i was talking to emma and lindsey..." soooo I really thought i was supposed to go to her house for breakfast, and texted and apologized saying i slept in and couldnt make it. to which i got,
"whattt are you talking about??"
"i'm supposed to come over to your house for breakfast right?"
"umm, no?"

so basically, i thought my dream was part of real life. yep. that was funny. anyways. it makes sense to me, but trying to write down an awfully weird dream is hard. so bare with me.

Some of the reasons why....

I LOVE THE RAIN. something i have never understood is when people say on a rainy day is, "oh the rain makes me so sad." I absolutely LOVE it. i could live in a place where it rained every single day. anyways.

Gopher or Mouse?

So this morning i had lab around 8ish. i went to the caf with a couple friends afterwards, hung out for a little bit, and then started walking home cause its super close to my house. when i started walking up our driveway and i saw this little furry thing wobbling across it. my first thought was that it was a little chipmunk or somethin...but no, it looked at me and like, hissed. my first reaction was to scream. so i did. of course there were a bunch of gardeners at my neighbors house and they all looked at me like i was extremely stupid, but whatever.

anyways, whatever this thing was, i wanted it to die. i was almost positive it was a mouse, and yeah, our family doesn't like mice so much. so i picked up three big rocks, and chucked them at him (or her, you can choose). poor thing. for those of you who have ever seen Princess bride, it reminded me of the part in the fire swamp where westley kills the rat...it liked turned over, and rolled. yeah, so anyways, everyone came outside...we named it chucky...even though it was dead, and then left it there for our cat george. Well, i wanted something to blog about, so i guess this works...even though its kinda sad, and gross, but here's a pic of chucky and the rock we killed him with. Kyle says its a gopher, but at the same time looks like a mouse. we'll just call it a mopher.

worms and snoring.

I feel like i haven't posted in awhile, even though i have. i know that this is probably a gross picture to you, i mean who wants to look at a picture of two worms in a 9 year olds hand? but who cares... oh well.
she (binger) said she was trying to make a cross out of them. not quite sure what she meant by that, but okayyy.
speaking of binger, this past week Tina and the boys were away in Missouri doing music for a camp, since they were gone, we had the twins sleep upstairs with us. little did i know binger has some....snoring issues. i came upstairs the first night, and they had been asleep for at least two hours, bomber was on the floor, and binger was in tina's bed. i got in bed, (it was like 1am) and listened to binger snore for a couple minutes hoping it would go away. yeah, it went on for like 20 minutes. so finally, i got out of bed, went over and plugged her nose. yeahhh thats not the nicest thing to do but what else was i supposed to do??? she kinda coughed and turned over, the snoring stopped. i got back in bed and in less than 30 seconds she was at is again, louder than before. so i did it again. and again. and again. probably like ten times. finally i decided i was just going to wake her up....i needed sleep. i went over and shook her and told her to go to her bed, she sat straight up, looked me right in the eyes and said, "OH! do you think im snoring?" and then she got kinda close and whispered, (creeeper) "cause if you do, i'm really not!!" that was the end of binger sleeping in my room for a looonnnggg time.
tina i am very thankful YOU sleep in your bed and not binger! haha...poor kid.

I have been in a writing mood for awhile but haven't taken the chance to just sit down and write. most of the time i sit down about 20 people are watching over my shoulder, and obviously it would be kinda awkward to write with them right there so i like, turn off the browser and look at old pictures. eventually they go away but not for very long. anyways, tonight is a really laid back night. the three oldest are away in missouri and the little girls are watching some penguin show...i'll pass.

the past couple of months have been pretty busy, i feel like second semesters always are...lots of essays and quizzes and tests to turn in for final grades for my classes and stuff, and trying to figure out what i'm doing for school next year.
I can't think of anything significant to write about so i'm gonna post this 25 things about me thing I did on facebook awhile ago. if something else comes to my mind i'll let you know later.

1. I bite my ice cream. its fun.
2. I have never eaten an olive
3. sometimes I forget how to spell my name. it eventually comes back to me.
4. I grew up in chicago. its green and beautiful and sometimes i wonder how a place like california can be on the same planet.
5. i like to eat my popcorn with lemon pepper on it. true story.
6. I met my best friend in chicago by knocking her over while riding my bike
7. when I was 9 I had shingles for two months. still got scars and everything. it was scary
8. i take pride in having a greek heritage. not sure why. people call me the greek geek.
9. I hate milk. I think it's gross that people drink liquid that came out of cows. i mean seriously, all they know how to do is moo and eat grass. i'm surprised it doesnt make people stupid.
10. i love bananas. i could live off of them.

13. i am probably one of the most casual people you will ever meet. i would wear sweats and a t shirt to the store while my little sister dresses up to walk down stairs.

16. i have a lot of nicknames. my dad calls me chloe. oh and this one is weird, my aunt from new zealand calls me her matarikan princess daughter. weirddd.
17. i DESPISE in n out. their burgers are slimy and their fries are really skinny.
18. i love rain with a passion. whenever it rains people are like..."aww i'm so sad.." i dont get that. why would water falling from the sky make someone sad? its beautiful.
19. i love photography.
20. i love music, almost everything except for taylor swift
21. i have had like 20 gold fish, and the longest time that any of them lived was like 2 weeks, its name was turkey.
22. i broke my wrist playing dodgeball at my first night at youth group.
23. one time when me and my cousin jessy were at this beach somewhere we caught 23 jellyfish with big buckets cause they were everywhere, we burried them in the sand
24. my cousin is my best and favoritest friend.
25. my sister is my hero and i love her so much.
